the elephant sanctuary
I used to go to this site (click on the title) about 50 times a day and watch the elecam. Now, i'm burned out but i always check in and see how the "girls" are doing.
one of the many cute stories at the sanctuary is starring Tarra. she has a best friend and they are inseperable and her best friends name is Bella.
Bella is a dog. I just think that is so amazing!! you never see one without the other*:

awww, that's adorable. I love elephants. Not as much as monkeys though.
The Elephant Sanctuary is only about 1 1/2 hours from my house. Once things settle down here and we have our remodel completed, hubby and I are planning to volunteer there at least one day every other month (6 times/year). They always need people to help do crap work like fence building. We donate to them a lot. I like Tarra and Bella. So cute. There's also a pig sanctuary nearby that we're going to volunteer at also. you are so lucky VV. whenever i think of cutting & running, it's there i think of going to. sell my house and buy one outright there and work on the sanctuary for peanuts.
