non-vegan lunch

well, i'm not perfect. and eating out, especially at a little French sidewalk cafe, can be reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally hard to stay vegan.

SO...on that note: today for lunch i hd the best, most delicious Cream of Vegetable soup i've ever had in my life. I'm going to try to dupe it vegan-wise. i'm sure the secret is extra, EXTRA salt...which is okay by me.

THEN i had a delicious Goat Cheese & Fig sandwich with a balsamic vinagrette creamy mayonnaisey dressing and big fat juicy delicious tomato slices...i think i cried a little at lunch it was so unbelievable.

This guy used to have a little french restaurant in San Fran but got sick of the city so he moved here, opened up an ugly-ass bistro and it's only open from 10:30 to 2:30 mOnday through Friday; BUT

it

was

amazing!

Oh my gosh - goat cheese and fig sandwich...that sounds totally fantastic. YUM!

I hear you - I'm trying to eliminate meat from my diet and I had been doing pretty good until the other evening and there was a little bit of ham in my soup :(

P.S. Urban Vegan - I'm addicted to salt too, but in the form of margaritas or in lemon/lime juice or on apples or cucumbers or radishes....or...

TK, sorry I've been away so long. I've missed sharing those little snippets of your life that you so kindly share with all of us.
Congrats on the exam! Now go out there and sell houses. Make lots of money and buy yourself a mansion. Hire some "help", smoke European cigarettes and don't get up before noon. Throw insanely lavish, celebrity laden parties and invite your blog buddies. I'm sure you and I could get together and cause some sort of scandal. If we include a celebrity in our mischief we could find ourselves standing in the grocery store check out line looking at our faces on the National Enquirer. Then, TK, you will have arrived. That damn bistro would deliver you goat cheese and fig sandwiches at 3am if you so desired. Now, go kick ass girl! Sell, sell, sell! And have a Happy Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. Take Monday off.

Yeah. My weekends are that way (sometimes). This weekend I attended my sisters wedding. She went to great lengths to make most of the dishes vegetarian (so I would have a lot to eat)but I have just been telling people I am cutting back on dairy so most of those dishes had cream or cheese in them. Blah! I'm far from perfect...but I feel it's the attempts one makes. You are doing so much more than most of the people in this world to be compassionate and more healthy...I sure am not one to judge but can certainly relate to the temptation or lack of choices.
