tidbits #5

Friday, me and 5 of my lovely friends went to Golfsplash (a water park) and had almost the time of our lives. if it weren't for the 40 minute lines and 1 minute rides, i'd say it was worth the $25 admission fee.

In fact, when i win the lottery, i will rent that park and only invite up to 20 people. yeah...woudnl't that be cool? No lines, good friends, BOOZE!

I saw'r the Simpsons movie last night. i loved it. it really is just the t.v. show only longer. make sure you stay past the credits...

Saturday, we're all going to the state fair. it's where we get drunk and buy shit "as seen on tv" and i can't think of a better way to spend my day : )

This morning on my walk i was thinking that i need to stop making facial expressions so the lines on my face will just go away. But that thought reminded me of this girl i used to know a loooong time ago who refused to laugh heartily because it would make lines on her face. (she was a bitter, bitter girl and i'm glad to be rid of her) And although now i'm sure she looks well behind her 40 years, i think i'd rather have "earned" a look like this from a life well lived...

I love water parks! Except for the lines and screaming kids and rednecks and ridiculous admissions. Can I be one of the 20?

Laugh it up, or life will make you cry. :)

i like the water parks that have the "water park jungle gym". they have all sorts of water canons and cranks to shoot off a water geyser. i like spraying unsuspecting kids with the canon/geysers....:)

Water parks are the best. We had a fun one in CA but here in TN, the one we have had a big elephant show and I have to protest them. I sent them a nice letter about elephant cruelty and they responded with, "We don't care. Hope you visit us soon." Bullshit.

I love that picture of the old woman. I want to print it out and put it on my desk. She makes me smile. Screw the wrinkles. Life's too short, ya know?

i agree 'nessa...i see you had your party at the BONN LAIR!!!

i almost got in a fight with a 13year old there too. i NEVER in my life would talk to an adult like she did me. and she wont' again becuase me and my big friends shut her ass right up. and yes you can be one of the 20. in fact, i'll open it up to my friends and any blogger that wants to come on down!

one of the good muscles.

they had a jungle gym there too but there were too many kids on it..yucky kids.

that was my problem with the state fair here to VV but we protested long and hard enough and now ELEPHANTS NO MORE! i'm stoked! i would hate to stop going to the fair but i would have.

absolutely. we'll have it veganly catered too :)

Why rent the park after winning the lotto, buy it!

P.S. I am about 5 years away from having face canyons like that.

Tanya, imagine what our faces would look like if we had raised children. We'd look like relief maps...

I hate lines! When our kids were younger we would stay at an old hotel hooked onto Cedar Point. If you stayed there(The Breakers) you got in at the back of the park and would have 1/2 hr to get on the best rides before the insane lines! The night before the park, the hotel was hooked up to the water park and we could wear the kids out before bedtime. Good memories you dragged up, dear!
