Life...

Since I've been on my diet, i've gained 3 pounds. Hmmm...

It's going to be in the hundreds today in Sacramento. I ran in it this morning and at 8:00 am it's already like 85. disGUSTing. I'm not sure why i don't live in alaska. Probably becuase i know i'd have to eat whale and i just dont' think i can do that.

I always dream of where I would live if I won like 30 million dollars. Every day i'm different so how does one choose where to reside? Okay, let's say you only won 5 million, for those of you who will say buy a house every where!

Here are my choices:

Italy/Ireland/Britain or somewhere Europey
Coast of Maine
Lake Tahoe
Portland
Mediterranean

You pick.

and then tell me ONE place you, for sure, would be a home...

Somewhere in Chile or Spain...a ranch overlooking any ocean, a kiln so I can make my own tiles...drink port wine, have a young wife and make all kinds of fat babies!

don't do Tahoe. I'm from that area. it's not all it's cracked up to be. Nice to visit, but not to stay.

Mexico. One somewhere on the beach and one somewhere deep in the heart. that's my dream.

i'd have a permanent home in portland because i could never say goodbye to this city!

then i'd have a vacation home near tahoe.

and then i'd rent a flat in europe and travel my ass off.

sorry it's so hot up there. my fingers are actually cold right now here in pdx. it is supposed to be in the 80s today, but the cloud cover is still working on burning off. good thing i wore long sleeves . . . can't wait to start sweating in my non-air conditioned office!

Hmm...I'd probably stay right where I am, in the beautiful San Fran bay area. Great weather, easy car ride to everywhere (wine country, Tahoe/Reno, Marin, San Diego...etc.) I would, however, purchase a big home (with the latest quake technology) with a big lawn. Oh, I'd buy a nice colonial back in New York for those times that I miss the fall back there.

My votes are for Italy, in a quaint little villa oceanside. I've been to Ireland and enjoyed it, but I couldn't live there, the weather is too depressing.

Here, my favorite places are definitely San Francisco (its so fun you don't even notice the crazy weather) and Colorado (the Boulder area is nice!) So those are my 'votes' :-)

yeah grfx and jaxe...i LOVE SF. sometimes we'll go and just hang out near the marina, drink a beer, read the paper and check out all the beautiful people and wish we were one of them...

i love it there...

i like SF . . . got engaged there . . . but you get asked for money on every block! i'm so broke i can't afford to live in SF and get panhandled all the time. because i can't help but give people money when they ask (if i even have any on me).

but it is a great city full of beautiful people!

if they could move one of the amazing houses in savannah georgia out of the nasty humid yucky weather and up here to the NW, i'd live in it.

I’d say go Mediterranean. The men are gorgeous and they appreciate a woman with some meat on her bones.

Ever since I saw those abandoned castle ruins in the French alps I’ve always thought it would be pretty cool to live in one. But I bet it’s really drafty, and probably no electricity or plumbing. Soooo, let’s go with an island bungalow in Palau.

Umm...on the beach somewhere....

What about the horrible food in Greece?

Don't complain. Here in Arizona, the overnight lows are in the mid to upper-80s.

I would definitely stay in the Portland area, I already consider it paradise. I would buy a huge place, with plenty of room for all the toys I'd buy, and live it up here in P-town.
