I'm going to rename my blog...

...to supernova negatova blog. This is no curse; this is my life.

I'm JUST getting over the worst flu i've ever had in my life. I went to the dr. last thursday becuase my back has been hurting ever since the accident. She said "i see you have a cough" and yes it started that very morning. She asked if i wanted a flu shot but i dont' believe in those. Especially not at such a young ripe age such as myself.

by 2:00 i was coughing ebola-epidemic level. I know i was irritating people at work to the max because I HATE it when people cough. I know they can't help it; but, thanks to things passed down by my mom, constant repetitive noises make me homicidal.

I went home and laid on the couch til bed time. the next day I called in sick and stayed in bed til 4:00 and all i could do was whimper. My skin hurt so bad that when i moved my leg, which i do alot of, it hurt against the sheets. my abs are a gorgeous six-pack from coughing. i took a shower to try to feel normal and the spray hurt my skin. it really was just awful. Janet came over and cleaned my house, brought me fire logs, soup, cough syrup, ibuprofen, folded my laundry...that was really nice. it was nice to hear someone toodling around my house while i was sick. And Kevin came by later to stay at my house so i felt safe and walked Kody in the morning since he has not been able to get out. That was nice to have people around becuase earlier i was so scared, i started to cry. I'm really never sick, minus the 4 million hangovers, so when this hit I got scared.

today is sunday, SUPER BOWL Sunday, and i've only barfed 3 times so i'm doing much better. and now, the good friend that i am, i gave this baby to Michelle.

And you can tell i'm still not 100% because someone who's a 100% probably wouldn't take their dog to the park after last nights torrential downpour:

p.s. Mira, I started an email to you but got busy and then got sick...i'll send you an email monday.

wow. sorry you are so sick. that sucks!

took hudson hiking in the woods today. last time we went all the water was frozen over. it's rained a bit since . . . he tried to walk on the water and it broke through! he looked so surprised! it took him a while to make it back to shore . . . good thing it was only about 6 inches deep at that point.

There is nothing wrong with 2008 that cannot be improved through the use of pharmaceuticals and martinis. Heavy on the martinis. Sorry things are going so crappy as of late. When I told your cousin Halina that I left DC and was moving to Sacramento, she told me I had to check out your blog. Past reads had me rolling. Obviously, things are not as hunky dory as of late. Even a hearty dose of psychotropics and dry martinis cannot overcome the dry heaves. Check. Mate. Feel better soon-- I need to know where the next reincarnation of Chris Farley will be coming from. -Kip

Actually, I have been here since August. I guess I am in East Sac, might be considered fringe of midtown. I had my mid-life crisis and decided to leave the east coast and go to law school, so I am at McGeorge. Why, I have no idea. I can’t say I get out much (at all)- unless you count quality time in the law library as “getting out.” Unfortunately Halina has yet to escape from Freddie Mac- I fear it will completely rob her of her soul. Or at least her sanity. I think she has a high threshold for pain. One of my many e-mails is kipkendig at gmail followed by the com. Or 2880905 for vox. Apparently writing out your e-mail on websites makes it easier for spammers to get you on the lists. Don’t know if that is true, but I already get enough offers for Viagra, various salves, ointments, poultices, and lower mortgage rates. I will likely be hunched over my PC for most of the weekend, as I have a paper due Monday. If you are at 85% you must go out. I need to live vicariously through someone with a social life. Back to work before they find me writing on a blog and make me memorize California environmental statutes as punishment. Cheers-Kip

There is the very real possibility that I ate too many paint chips as a child, because I can’t find your e-mail on the profile. Do I have to be signed up for blogger to get these details? I’ve just been signing in using my kipkendig gmail account. So, I’m either “touched” or I can’t see those details. It’s probably both. I can see that you’re an Aquarius and like sugar, but I can’t get an e-mail address. Oh, the humanity.

And what could be more exciting than McGeorge? One of the rooms smells of rich mahogany. And Merlin Olsen sometimes drops by.

You haven't posted in a while. I hope you're feeling better. Sounds like you had it bad. I must say, I LOVE the picture of Kody. I'm obviously never 100% because I've taken Simon to the dog park and left with him looking like that and I've been well. Also, like you, constant repetitive noises make me homicidal. Dripping taps, trucks left in reverse so that god-forsaken beeping keeps going & going; you know what I mean. Hope to see you up and at 'em very soon! XO
