Life
My moms dying.
I'm driving to Bellingham tomorrow to see her and i'm excited about that. Today is her 80th birthday. I called to tell her Happy Birthday but my brother said she's not hearing very well so he yelled to her that I said 'Happy Birthday' and she gave him the finger for me.
Looks like she's having a good day.
When they told her I was coming up she didn't really react. Then she turned beet red and they, my brother and staff, were worried that she might be having a heart attack. When my brother was telling me the story I was thinking 'how sweet...she's excited that i'm coming'; but, instead he told me that she said "She's not bringing that God damn dog, is she?"
Yup...looks like she's having a good day....and, yes Mom...I am bringing that God damn dog.

Tanya- Don't bring the goddam dog, the woman wants to see you. I'll board the goddam dog- I know how you feel about Kody...
Dear- I hope all goes well with Mom. I know about loving dogs- I took a trouble-maker Airedale and showed the world a sweetheart!
Sorry to hear about your mom - hope all goes as well as possible with your visit. Give the damn dog a good ear rubbing for me. :)
thanks for the well wishes and the advice (bd)...life is weird. it keeps on moving, giving, taking, changing...and we just keep on rolling...
I'm so sorry...
It sounds like you inherited your sense of humor from your mom...
*hugs*

FYI...After a very long and at times, treacherous roadtrip, Tanya and Kody arrived safely in WA. Thank goodness that they have each other... :)

Poor Kody. Does he know what his Nana said?

Oh my...I haven't been reading your blog long enough to know just how to process all of this, but wow, best wishes for your Mom, and I hope she can appreciate seeing the damn dog. She sounds like a real pistol.
I happen to love Kody so you can drop him off at my place and then spend as much time as you want with Mom... :(
Ugh. Life certainly can SUCK sometimes.
Hope your drive wasn't too eventful and you got to visit with your Mom in a meaningful way.
We've had so much snow and ice and all up here, I hope the roads were OK for you too.
Take care.
