It's HUMP day!

my friend brought me a bowl of sour cream / cheddar cheese potato chips to sabotauge me. HA HAAA!!! you fiend!!! you can't tempt me!

i put them up in my shelf in case of emergencies.

i'm drinking a yummy 2/3rd's decaf 1/3rd caf coffee from starbucks. can you say heaven? i thought you could.

BETSY UPDATE! Betsy is a completely different dog. what once was just a rug for weeks on end is now a vibrant, silly, happy girl. she jumps on me (we'll deal with that later), she greets me with exuberance when i get home, she eats ALL her food without dressing it up or prompting her (which thank GOD is makig for solid poos instead of melted dairy queen piles), she follows me EVERY WHERE which means she's active and when i'm not active, she plays with her toys by herself.

i've never heard that girl bark yet. not once.

anyway, in case you forgot who Betsy is, here's a pix of her when she JUST started feeling better...

pay NO mind to the messy background, dirty floors and the pile of netflix on my table. i was JUST getting to that job when i took that pix...

can you see her tail wrapped around the chair? it's all the girl does now is wag her tail!

my latest starbucks addiction is the strawberries and cream frappucino. there's no coffee in it, but it must have crack in it instead, b/c i crave one every afternoon at 3pm. dammit, writing about it has made me want one two hours early!

i'm glad betsy is feeling better. i knew you could make her whole again.

I love that Betsy. As I was combing through the zillion e-mails that accumulated I came across a FW from a co-worker about a dog named Harley that needs a new home. His dad died recently and his uncle is trying to place him. A really sweet looking dog but they mentioned separation anxiety and I was just picturing him and Dexter howling away in the apartment all day. Hey, you go over and bark through that hole in the screen and I’ll cover the whimpering and scratching at the door. If that doesn’t bring them back we’ll shift posts in the afternoon. God my neighbors would hate me (even more than they must already). But look! So cute. I’m a sucker for a hard luck story.

I just found out our all staff meeting/Juneteenth (I had to look it up too) celebration this afternoon will involve a free lunch of ribs. I hope they at least have corn on the cob and some potatoes. For being so into cultural diversity the HR department around here sure doesn’t seem to support dietary diversity. Free lunch around here is always carnivore friendly.

Dude, free lunch sucks again. There were three kinds of meat and nothing for me to eat. They had hot links, the ribs, and chicken. There were cheap white rolls and some potato salad that didn’t look so good as sides, so I ended up going to Wasabi and getting some veggie fried rice. Then they gave it to me with egg instead of the tofu I requested and insisted it was tofu. I’m like, I think I know the difference between tofu and egg. This is why I pack my own lunch 95% of the time. I’m not sure what ribs taste like, but if it’s anything like their smell, ew!

BETSY BABY!!

Love her!

I used to be a huge fan of the SCaO chips. So amazingly tasty. I rarely eat chips these daze (breaking down for Kettle Chips every so often) but those I might be tempted to have one or two...

Betsy is so happy. I am so happy she has YOU for her mommy. You are fabulous, TK!! Truly.

I haven't been able to check or post on blogs for a few days, so I'm doing a catch up. Quickly, Betsy - adorable. Good to hear that she's settling in.
Eddie - used to be adorable. I've heard some stories about his weirdness and I think he's lost his mind.
