I can SEE!!!

Well...sort of. I wore my CRT Lenses last night and I must say, that were not very comfortable. You can DEFINITELY feel them.

So, of course, I woke up every couple of hours and tried to open my eyes but it was hard. When I woke up to start my day at 6:00, I was like HELL NO and tried to lay in bed as long as i could, with my eyes closed. Michelle was coming to pick me up at 7:50 so I tried to stay in bed as long as I could. My eyes felt like cacti. When she finally came over, i just kept my eyes closed and let her guide me everywhere.

Here's a tip: Don't hire michelle to be your guide dog.

When I got to the dr. my eyes hurt pretty bad and i was concerned that when he took them out, my eyes wuold be scratched, red & still painful; but, it was like heaven when he took them out. HEAVEN! And I could see a blurry 20/20. It'll take a good month before i can see a perfect 20/20 and since my pupils are normally large it might take longer. but no matter becuase, last night, i was able to put my eyeglasses AWAY! never to wear them again...hahahahaaaaa...isn't that awesome??? I can watch t.v. without my glasses digging in my face, I can see when I wake up (painfully for a while but at least NOW i can pop them out immediately), i can swim and see when i pop my head up, guys can check me out and not think i'm a nerd...now, before i offend anyone, I'm not a glasses kinda girl. some people are...i look geeky.

so, so far I highly recommend CRT lenses...so far.

I GOT MY LENSES!! they hurt. but i'm only suppsed to wear them when i sleep. and that's tomorrow night...so by friday, after only one night of wearing them, i shoudl be able to see for half the day. soon it'll be all day but that takes a liiiitle time.

anyone ever see Dexter? I'm falling oddly in love with that too. I have no idea how i manage a full-time job, Kody, eating, sleeping, pooping, exercising, partying AND watching all these fabulous shows!!!

CRT Lenses

I went to an eye doctor last night about getting fit for CRT Lenses. I am PISSED at myself for not doing this years ago.

It's a hard lens that is fitted perfectly over your cornea and it starts to squish your eyeball down so instead of a football shape, it becomes more of a ball. It works only for nearsighted people. And you have to wear them every night like a retainer; but, it's better than lasik where, with MY luck, I'd be blind.

anyway, you only wear these while you sleep, pop them out in the morning and you can see 20/20 all day. You can even sometimes skip a night if you're say drunk or just tired and don't feel like putting them in and still see well the next day. They are excellent for those of us that have dry eyes. The cost is about $1,300 but that's cheaper than lasik and there's no risk of serious complications.

I solved the spider problem too. I sealed my baseboards since there were gaps leading out in to spider land. haven't had a bite since. yay!

You know, I really am funny but i'm not sure where she's been lately. so I apologize to my millions of readers for my lame boring posts.

Bed Partner

I thought the next entity I'd bring in to my bed would be better looking than this...

But, I was wrong...this little fucker bit me Sunday night on my elbow. It swelled up and was all gushy...the irridescent fangs you see in the pix, seperate quite widely so he can get a good grip.

Monday night, I had the worst nights sleep because everytime I would drift off, I would be afraid that I'd become dinner again. But I did finally fall asleep and woke up gladly, bite-free.

Tuesday night I slept with ease only to wake with my hand so swollen I couldn't make a fist (and you all KNOW how i love to fight!)

Yesterday morning, I got up early, stripped my room of everything and sprayed my room til it was smokey like our skies. I even did another little courtesy spray this morning...keep your fingers crossed because you can't wish this guy on your worst enemy.

I've been reading this book about pre-menopausal crap (I know, pretty aren't I?) and one of the bad things was the chemicals from water bottles which I drink out of all day long. And I reuse them over and over AND i drink the hot water from a bottle that's been sitting in my car. thaaaat's right!

i have, since, seen the error of my ways. I'm soon to be chemical free, belly free and period free. well...in about 10 years.

Today I met Janet at La Bonne Soup Cafe and it's a teeny tiny little french soup & sandwich shop that has about 6 seating-for-2 tables. I had the Cream of Asparagas and she had the Cream of Vegetable (actually it was the other way around; but, I started to whine a little bit becuase i wanted the asparagas and I usually train the people i hang out with pretty, pretty well because they always give in. just the easier choice) We split a melted Brie and fig sandwich on homemade french bread and we also split a small white table wine. I almost passed out from the deliciousness of it all. I always gush over him too when i come in and today he rewarded me with another bowl of broccoli soup which was equally delightful! So, I'm set in the food area for a good 30 minutes.

Kody has swam every weekend for the past 3 weeks and he's acting all the full-grown spoiled brat that I've raised. And I love him for that.

I'm planning on buying my hot (cold) tub in 4 weeks so all feel free to come by for a bottom-less party...woooo hoooo!!!
